Dance Classes Offered at Diamond Creek Dance Centre

You will definitely be taking your first step in the right direction when you choose from any of the classes listed below. If you don't see anything that is just right, please enquire about taking personal lessons at a time to suit you.

Worried about coming on your own?
More than half of our students come on their own. All dance classes have a rotating format so even if you are on your own, you will have the opportunity to dance with a partner many times during the class

What do I wear?
Neat casual is always the dress for all classes. Singlets and thongs are not permitted.

Ballroom/Latin/Social Dancing for Adults Judith & Ray, with over 20 years teaching experience, and being Championship Adjudicators, have a program to make taking your first step easy - or to brush up on your rusty footwork. After learning separately, you mix with confident social dancers who will cheerfully assist with your progress. No Partner Required Have Fun & Meet New Friends Tuesday 8:00pm and Friday 8:15pm In just 10 weeks you will learn the basic steps of the most commonly used social dances!
Line Dancing & Bootscooting Never danced a step in your life? Whether it be for fitness or social reasons, this is a great class to make your first move in! Monday 7:00pm	Funk / Hip Hop Funk and HipHop classes for all ages. Thursday Jnr 5pm, Snr 7:30pm
Street Latin Learn dances such as the Mambo, Salsa and Merengue. Wednesday 8:00pm	Rock 'n' Roll An ever popular dance style that's fun and easy to learn. Monday 7:30pm

Ballroom, Latin and Social Dancing:

Dancing and dance music can open up a whole new world of social life, of relaxation and exercise and of creating endless opportunities to meet and socialise with an enormously diverse group of people.

These classes are in 10 week blocks so that all new students start and progress together to develop great friendship groups.

	Line Dancing / Bootscooting: Never danced a step before in your life? Whether it be for fitness or social reasons, this class is a great one to make your first move in! Especially suitable for those who love to dance solo.

Funk / Hip Hop:
This is a good class in which to learn a modern dance style in a fun, relaxed environment. Junior class is also available.

Street Latin:
This newer type of Latin dancing is quite fast moving and particularly appeals to the young adults. Some of the dances covered in this class are: Mambo, Salsa, Merengue and Rock 'n' Roll.

Wedding Dances:
Your wedding day – To waltz or not to waltz, can you envisage the wedding stumble spoiling your perfect day? Surprise your family and friends with a special wedding dance choreographed to your own choice of music and tailored to suit your needs on your day!

With many years of group teaching experience we can train your debutante group in our studio or your hall to present a formal display which will be enjoyable and memorable to all.
